Farwestcd
Laat ons even voorstellen hoe de Far West Country Dancers zijn ontstaan. Op het einde van 1998 besloten we op vraag van verschillende mensen om met een nieuwe dansgroep te beginnen. Daar we op dat moment bij geen enkele groep waren aangesloten, maar enkel bij bevriende clubs gingen dansen besloten we het toch te doen. Odette gaf toen al een jaar les in Koersel zodat ze toch al enige ervaring had. Een lokaal hadden we snel gevonden in Meerhout, waar Swa & Mie een nieuwe cafe hadden geopend. Dan nog snel een naam zoeken wat echter geen probleem was , de naam van de cafe is far west, dus werd onze naam FAR WEST COUNTRY DANCERS. De eerste les was in januari 1999, en er kwamen toch een 25 tal mensen op af. In 2002 besloten we om met partner dansen te beginnen, omdat er daar toch vraag naar was. Zodoende dan toch voor elk wat wils hebben. Mocht je interesse hebben , kom gerust eens vrijblijvend een kijkje nemen, of neem contact op met een van onze contactpersonen. Na de verwoestende brand op 3 juni 2007in ons lokaal, hebben nieuwe onderdak gevonden in

Red Shots
The Red Shots started out in 1988 with only two members, Reuben & Eddy played in the streets of Utrecht. Early 1989 Koos & Rogier joined the band. The early music of the Red Shots is known as skiffle with rockabilly influences. The way they played made the audience feel happy and soon the Red Shots where a very well know name in Utrecht. Klaas Westerbeek of Tombstone Records produced their first record ?Play My Boogie? in the summer of 1989. From that moment on the Red Shots drove all over the continent to play in Capitals like Paris 1990 & Berlin 1991
